3 down, 10 to go

My first three are done! For the most I am happy how they turned out. The one that I think I can still work on is the one when my friend is in the train. One thing that I have been thinking about though is how boring my concentration is going to be if I continue making them all in black ink. So...my ideas have changed a little bit and I can't wait to get started.

my 4th concentration idea

I want to use this picture for my next piece. Since this picture is so simple, I was thinking about drawing it multiple times in different color ink and then connecting all of the drawings together somehow. I also wanted to try to connect the actual picture with my drawings. Maybe try editing the picture so its not exactly the same everytime. Im not sure though, if you have any ideas please tell me. This idea kind of came from the project art 3-4 did this year where they connected like 12 small pictures together. I thought it looked so cool and I wanted to try it!

pics used for my first three concentration pieces:

For this piece I am going to draw everything that is inside the bus. So...everything that is outide the bus windows is going to be the actual photograph. I thought this image would be fun to draw because its the angle is interesting. I better get started on this one...

I finished this piece already. Its of my friends Keely and Steph. I decided to do this one because the picture is taken really close up so I figured it would be interesting. In the actual piece, everything is drawn except for the snowy background and their hats. The most challenging part about this peice for me was their jackets.
I took this picture two summers ago in Paris. I thought this could be really great to do because it reminds me of such a fun trip and such a beautiful place. In the actaul piece that is finished I drew the gargoyles, Eiffle Tower, and the bridges. This was my first one I did so I had to experiment with a few things like shading with a black ink pen.

Sketchbook:

I did this one during the retreat. I was looking at a flower we used for our art poster. The simple wash in the background I did earlier that day with Judy. I thought this sketchbook page was simple but has cool colors.

All of the background and bubble wrap design was done during the retreat with Judy. I recently just drew in the boy. The shading on the boy i did with green sharpie. There is no reason for that except for the fact green is my favorite color.

This is the sketchbook page that I had to change for the next week. The background again I did with Judy, it was simple newspaper. The drawing is of my cousin, sister, and I. I was looking at that photograph when I drew it.

I finished this sketchbook page at the retreat. Judy had us paint a person on this background and so thats what i came up with. Lately, for my sketchbooks I have been drawing people without really noticing. So...next week I am trying something new!

My Concentration

As of now I think this is my concentration. This idea came from my Portland inspired piece. Its going to be "Juno" drawings with photography incorporated in it. I would like to just draw pictures off of random photos that i have taken...but I might need to be more specific about my concentration and have my photos come from my everyday landscapes.
